About Us

Marist Robotics:
Marist School Robotics is a community of students who are passionate about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our robotics team consists of highly motivated students who work together to create innovative solutions to real-world problems. Our team members develop skills in programming, design, manufacturing, and teamwork while working on exciting projects. We compete in FIRST Robotics competitions, where we face off against other teams from around the world. Our team is proud to have a tradition of excellence in these competitions, and we are constantly striving to improve our skills and knowledge. Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs like Reach for Excellence that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Competition Teams:
The Marist Robotics program has 2 competitive robotics teams, FRC and FTC.

FRC, or FIRST Robotics Challenge, designs, builds, programs, and drives full-size competition robots. They compete in 2 regional tournaments to qualify for the state and national finals. At Marist, our FRC team is mainly made up of upperclassmen who have experience with many of the skills out robotics program has taught us.

FTC, or FIRST Tech Challenge, teams design and build robots out of modular metal pieces, in addition to programming and driving them. Our FTC teams are mainly made up of middle school students. They compete in various local and regional tournaments, in an attempt to qualify for the state and national level. These students, coming from all grades, design, engineer, build, program, and drive robots constructed from modular metal pieces and other engineering accessories.
